Matson Projects Strong Q2 Boost from China Demand

Matson, Inc. just dropped some numbers for its second quarter of 2026. They're projecting a solid operating income between $153 million and $160 million, with net income ranging from $124.8 million to $130.3 million. This uptick is thanks to a booming China service and high demand for e-commerce and other goods. On the flip side, they saw less action in their Hawaii and Alaska routes but some growth in Guam. Oh, and mark your calendars for their earnings call on August 3, 2026. What does it mean for you? If you're a Matson investor, things are looking pretty positive thanks to their strong performance in China. For everyone else, it means you can expect continued smooth sailing for your online shopping deliveries across the Pacific.
